If you choose to pursue therapy with me, I will support you through the process in a way that respects your individual strengths and your specific needs. With a sincere and supportive style, I will work to create an atmosphere of safety and acceptance in which you can articulate and pursue your goals. You might know or at least suspect that therapy can sometimes be hard work, and also that it is often enormously rewarding. One reason I love being a therapist is that I have the privilege of getting to know some of the courageous people who have decided to take on that challenge.
In my practice, I work with a range of clients. They are adolescents, adults, and families struggling with grief, family violence, history of trauma, career difficulties, sexuality issues, life choices, couple relationships, depression, and coping with stress. In addition to therapy, I also provide group and individual supervision to social workers seeking clinical licensure.
You will get the most out of your investment in therapy if you find a therapist you can connect with and trust. I understand this can be a challenging task, and I encourage you to call or email me with your questions.
